A Little of Everything

This will be a random collage of everything...you okay with that..okay here we go...

We've been "ballers" for the past couple months.  Jax has fell in LOVE with baseball!  He wants to to play everyday out in the yard, even when it's a sweltering 100*!  Mama doesn't like that part of it!  He knows the names of several teams, so he tells us who we play for and if we win or lose!  Surprisingly his team ALWAYS wins! ha!  Here are a few pictures of the last game....you will see at the end his favorite part of the whole season!

We've also been swimming a ton!  The weather is cooling back down this week, but I figure the kids won't care...they will still be begging for sunscreen and bathing suits.

We've also been going to the lake every weekend now.  I need to start remembering to take more pictures out on the lake.  We have such a great time with all our friends down there.  Makes me so happy all the memories we create on the lake :)  I know our kids will forever have stories to tell about their childhood on the water!

My goal for the summer is to get Laney (my stubborn child) to learn her ABC's.  Luckily she is FINALLY letting me teach her!  We are chugging along, she's up to J, and has mastered the sounds too.  I'm proud of her.  It was touch and go at first because she wants things her way, or NO WAY!  Glad she is starting to figure out I do actually know what I'm talking about!  At least for today she realizes it, tomorrow may be another story! ha!

We haven't been terribly busy, but it still seems like we run in circles some days.  I've told myself it's summer, if my house is dirty so be it...now if I can just get my OCD to agree with me!  Till next time kids.....

Peanuts and Crackerjacks

Jax had his first t-ball game yesterday.  He did great!  He was so excited that he didn't have to use the tee either time he batted.  He also says he got a home run.  Technically he was the last batter, so they sent him around all the bases instead of just to first.  I let him think he got the homer...I wasn't crushing the dreams of the future Babe Ruth :)

The end of the game.  He told me afterwards that Titan explained to him how this worked.  Titan says "hold your arm out and say good game over and over"  I asked Jax if he knew why you said that, he goes "because that's what Titan says to say!" ha!

And of course..Miss Laney now says she needs a glove to "practice" with the boys!  Looks like she's going to be a sports girl too!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  We finally got some nice weather at the lake house yesterday too...much needed after the 500 days of rain!!

And So It Begins...

the bleacher butt that is!  Today was Jax's first t-ball practice.  So that means the beginning of bleacher butt galore!  From now until he's out of school I will be sitting in bleachers somewhere, watching some sport.  I'm okay with it though!  As long as he's loving it, so will I!  And after today, he's in LOVE!  He talked about how many times he hit the ball, and how many times he threw the ball, and how fast his cleats made him run.  It made my heart melt, and so do his "fast" little cleats...just look at them, they are so stinkin' cute!!!

The games start in a few weeks, and it should be entertaining to say the least!  I will post "action" shots when the season starts.  I'm just hoping the action shots aren't of him playing in the dirt, or picking weeds!  ha!!  Until then I'm off to watch basketball...I mean Kentucky is in the Final Four BABY!!!  (that was my Dick Vitale impersonation in case you couldn't figure it out! ha)

Batter Up

The weather was gorgeous today, so the kids were sent out to play give me peace and quiet!  I was surprised when I saw this flash of orange out my front door.  The boys ALWAYS play "demo cars" in the Little Tikes cars, but today they practiced!  That's what they said they were doing anyway.  T-Ball starts in a few weeks, so I guess they thought they needed to be prepared.  This is Jax's first year, so he's pumped!!  Titan played last year, so he's already a pro :)

Not sure why Titan is throwing left handed, since he's a righty!  I didn't even notice til Denny looked at the pics!

I'm excited for the games to start.  I haven't been to a t-ball games in forever, so I'm excited for the entertainment! Seeing 4/5 year olds run around like lunatics...that's my kind of fun!!

Finally!

Did you see that...they are OUTSIDE!!  Woo hoo!!  Finally, the sun was shining yesterday and the temps topped out at 70!  Glory hallelujah!  They were able to go out and burn some serious energy, and give my some peace.

It's so good for them (and me!) to get out and run, and play!

Thank the Lord SPRING IS COMING!!!!!

I love the days that they don't fight, and actually enjoy each other. The other 364 days of the year, well we won't talk about those!

Hard To Believe

Yesterday this little man turned 5!

I can't believe it!!  I swear it was just yesterday that I was going to the hospital.  It's crazy how fast the time has gone.  Right now he's sitting by me in his duck jammies playing cars, and in the blink of an eye he will be sitting here on HIS laptop.  Breaks a mama's heart :(  I tell him all the time he will always be my baby boy.  He's says he's a "big boy, NOT a baby".  In my eyes he will always be that fluffy haired baby!  As I wipe my tears just one more HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAX....you're the best son a mama could ask for!

This is how our weekend was spent....

Hanging with family from the "South".  Denny's sister, Deana, was here from South Carolina.  It was tons of fun seeing her and the kids.  It was also a little freaky!  Her kids and mine are spitting images of each other.  Especially the girls, Carlee and Laney.  Even they confuse themselves when looking at pictures! HA!  The boys look alike too, but as Cameron gets older I notice more of the differences.  Maybe one day the same will happen to Carlee and Laney, but for now they are twins that were born three years apart!

Unfortunately, they headed back home this morning...and we already MISS THEM LIKE CRAZY!!  Hopefully we will venture down there sometime soon :)

So Long Justin

Jax has been growing his hair out for a few months now.  He wants it to be like Justin Bieber's.  Just for those of you who live under a rock and have no clue who he is, here's a picture.

He's this teeny bop singer, who Usher found on youtube, and he is now filthy rich!  So anyway Jax's hair was pretty much like his.  Yes it was some work to fix.  There was straightening involved, but it was worth it because it was so stinkin' cute!  Here he is this weekend out on the lake.  (obviously its not fixed, but you get the point)

Cute, right?!?!  Well Denny has been trying to get him to cut it forever!  He says it looks like he has a helment head.  Jax kept refusing, saying "I want it like Justin Bieber's."  Even Laney had started calling him Jaxson Bieber! HA!  Denny finally convinced Jax to cut it by lying telling him Justin got his cut off.  Last night while I was at work, my Justin Bieber was taken away!

Yes, he is still adorable, BUT he looked SO CUTE with longer hair.  He also looked younger, now he looks like a little man.  That's hard on a mama :(  I'm still a little mad a Denny for buzzing it, but oh well.  I mean it's only hair, so it will grow back.  However when Jax sees Justin Bieber on TV Denny is going to have some serious explaining to do!

When we are just hanging around the house I let the kids dress themselves.  Somedays they actually pick something that matches.  Others they come out of their room looking like this............

How cute is that?  It makes me laugh again just seeing it!  Later in the day we were going to a friends house for a minute, and he asks if he can wear his boots.  I told him that was fine.  So he gets them on then says "wait, my hat!"  Ha!  Denny said "why don't you wear your Kimball's hat?"  Like that is any better!! Oh well he looked cute, and that's all that matters!  I will love him no matter what he wears, even if it's boots that are a size to big!

It's A Slippery Slope

The kids have been soaking up the sun all week. Playing in the pool has been an every day occurence at our house. Denny decided to add a "slide" today for some extra fun. Needless to say they all LOVED it!!

The kids thought it was the greatest thing ever, so I'm pretty sure that's were the playhouse will stay all summer!  Oh well as long as they are having fun :) 

We are headed to the lake this weekend for some R & R.  Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day, and soaks up every minute of the gorgeous weather we are suppose to have!
